What do we do

Spot spray noxious weeds with 4WD mounted “Quik Spray” remote control retractable reel spray units, on roadsides, public and private land. We can also boom spray tree planting sites prior to hand or direct seed planting.

Poison and remove boxthorn, shiny leaf, gorse, coastal wattle, cypress trees, pine trees, willows and any other woody weed, with chainsaws and hand tools. Plants are cut with chainsaws and whipper snippers if appropriate, branches are removed/burnt or used for matting as required. Stumps are then poisoned/painted to ensure no regrowth and the site is regularly monitored for the next year to ensure all of the infestation is in fact dead.

BVM coordinates the job from start to finish. This includes all debris disposal, hiring of additional equipment and employment of subcontractors if required. In recent years BVM has purchase both a three tonne and fourteen tonne rubber tracked excavators fitted with a high speed mulching heads. These machine can mulch or “groom” all types of woody weeds in a low impact way. Once the mulching has been completed, BVM revisits the site 6-8 weeks later and spot sprays or cut and paint any regrowth.

BVM offers a low impact environmentally sensitive weed removal service. Large machines are only used if absolutely necessary and we have treated weeds with great success in coastal cliff areas, wetlands and aboriginal cultural sites where protecting off target species and the immediate landscape is of high importance. We can also assist works proponents, be they private landholders, landcare groups or government departments put funding submissions and work plans together.

Site rehabilitation works. Following the removal of weeds and or rabbits we can revegitate and landscape the area to clients requirements.
